The National Science and Media Museum, based in the heart of Bradford, explores the science and culture of image and sound technologies and how they shape our lives. Part of the Science Museum Group, the museum aims to inspire future scientists, engineers, and creatives to see more, hear more, think more and do more.

Through its galleries, exhibitions, and events, the museum celebrates photography, film, television, animation, video games and sound, connecting innovation with imagination. It is home to three cinema screens – including the first IMAX theatre in Europe – allowing visitors to experience the wonder of the moving image in the world’s first UNESCO City of Film.

As a national museum embedded in one of the UK’s most diverse cities, Bradford – also home to 26% of residents under 18, making it the youngest city in the UK – the National Science and Media Museum is proud to support the Yorkshire Asian Young Achiever Awards. The museum recognises the importance of representation and the power of visibility in empowering the next generation. These awards highlight the talent, ambition and resilience of young people across the region who are making a difference – locally and nationally.

Supporting the YAYAs aligns with the museum’s mission to create inclusive opportunities for learning and their commitment to breaking down barriers to entry, ensuring that all young people have access to the resources they need to succeed. By shining a light on young achievers from across Yorkshire’s Asian communities, the awards help inspire others to make an impact, no matter their interests or ambitions.

The National Science and Media Museum is delighted to join in honouring these remarkable individuals, celebrating their stories, and inspiring others by highlighting the incredible contributions made by young people across all areas of life.
